At Stewart’s Blocks and Boards, our journey is one deeply rooted in a shared love for the beauty of wood and the art of craftsmanship. What began as a cherished hobby has blossomed into a thriving business that our family – a husband, wife, and their two sons – proudly operates. 

 The Spark of Passion 

Our owner and maker, Jim Stewart’s love for woodworking started at a young age, inspired by the time he spent working with his Uncle Michael. Michael, a high school industrial arts teacher, not only shared his woodworking skills with Jim but also influenced thousands of young people throughout his career. The lessons learned in Uncle Michael’s workshop were the seeds that grew into Jim’s lifelong passion for craftsmanship.  With over 30 years of experience, Jim is extremely meticulous in ensuring the quality of every creation made. 

Building a Dream 

With a strong background in management, we realized the potential to turn our beloved pastime into a business. Our skills in organization, strategic planning, and customer relations gave us the confidence to take the leap. As a family, we combined our talents, each contributing our unique strengths to build something special. 

Craftsmanship and Care 

Our business isn't just about making products; it's about celebrating the natural beauty of wood and sharing that with our customers. Every item we create is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, blending traditional techniques with modern design. From furniture to décor, our pieces carry the essence of our dedication and the warmth of our family’s touch.

Working side by side, we’ve grown closer and discovered new depths of teamwork and creativity. Our sons, who grew up watching and learning, now bring fresh ideas and youthful energy to the workshop. Together, we continue to innovate while staying true to the principles that sparked our journey.
