What woods do you use?

We use locally sourced domestic hardwoods harvested within 100 miles of Eau Claire, WI. Popular species include black walnut, cherry, and maple.

Do you offer exotic woods?

Yes. Our exotics are ethically and sustainably sourced from suppliers who operate plantation‑grown forestry or active reforestation programs.

Construction & Adhesives

What glue do you use?

All boards are assembled with Titebond III Ultimate, a high‑performance adhesive that is FDA approved for indirect food contact and known for exceptional water resistance.

Are your boards food‑safe?

Absolutely. Every material — wood, glue, and finish — is selected specifically for safe, long‑term kitchen use.

Finishes & Board Care

What finish do you use?

We use a handcrafted blend of:

Locally sourced beeswax
Food‑grade mineral oil
Certified organic carnauba wax

This finish protects the wood while giving each board a smooth, natural sheen.

How do I care for my board?

Reapply oil or board butter whenever the surface looks dry. Avoid dishwashers, soaking, or harsh detergents.
