Looks great but I had a couple of minor issues. The board wasn't even and wobbled when I placed it on my countertop. Not a huge deal, I fixed it with a washer. The other issue is I hand washed it after first use and after it dried it felt rough from the grain being raised. This could be on me but the care instructions say to oil/wax it as needed, and I was under the impression that it was sealed already. Maybe the care instructions should say it needs to be oiled or waxed prior to first use. Not a huge deal, I can sand it and re-oil it but when paying a premium I didn't expect there to be any issues. It does look great though.

Our boards are leveled before being sent, but we also understand that it is possible that something shifted during transit. Our boards are also wet sanded several times and fully conditioned before being sent out ensuring full sealing. While we are not sure of the type of soap or what tool was used to wash it, perhaps something too abrasive, we would be happy to discuss care needs with you if you have any further questions. It is solid, well made and beautiful. You can feel the hard maple being a different wood compared to my other boards, heavy and strong. To my surprise it came with a wood conditioner and used it right away after a quick wash and dry. The oils revealed the more intricate lines of the hard maple.
